Sailor Moon 30th Anniversary Special

Growing up Sailor Moon was one of the biggest contributors to my childhood. I would wake up at 7 in the morning excitingly waiting for the show to come on. It was my morning ritual, wake up watch Sailor Moon and get ready for school. I would sing along with the Sailor Moon DiC opening theme song. When I reminisce about Sailor Moon, there is nothing but happiness attached to it.

Sailor Moon taught me life lessons. The kind of friends I wanted, the type of person I wanted to be. Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts were my role models. Each of the Sailor Scouts had strengths that I envisioned for myself as a child. I wanted to be smart like Ami, beautiful like Rei, strong like Lita, resilient like Mina, and lastly like Serena, honest.

Their traits and personalities were awe spring for a young girl. I wanted friends who I could depend on and to be true to myself. As a young girl, I didn’t understand the complexity of a relationship. But I knew that Princess Serenity and Prince Darien (Endymion) had true love. Sailor Moon was a true adventure that I enjoyed following.

On April 28th, 2022 a special stream will be hosted on YouTube featuring the cast and a look back on the franchise. I will be tuning in to watch the program as I want to know what’s in store next for Sailor Moon.
