Can I say that I am a big fan of Otome Games. I enjoy the genre and being able to select characters. Who have different storylines and personalities. Also choosing the best option so that I can access complimentary pictures or accesses hidden routes. Playing an Otome game brings me joy as I get to enjoy a different world and life playing as the lead.
When this anime came out I knew I had to watch it. Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs by Yomu Mishima, I had to check it out. Especially being Isekai and not playing as the lead or villain/villainess character. The name of the anime already piques my interest.I find it hilarious that what the male lead wanted not to happen, happened. Skipping his meals and sleeping for two days straight lead to his death. I was also expecting the male lead to get hit by truck-kun but instead, it was stairs-kun who took his life. Most Isekai that occurs to the lead is always hit by a truck hence “truck-kun”.
The Otome game in the anime is also unique. I mean how interesting is this Otome Game, that it is a dating sim with a dungeon crawler. Not to mention the sci-fi aspects of the game. I really want to see Leon pilot a machine robot. This game is really well-rounded with a lot of options to explore. I for one would be interested in playing this game! Most of the Otome games that I have played aren’t as well versed. The Otome games I have played mainly focus on choices and routes to accomplish, more of a storyline than actual combat.
I find it ironic that Leon is stuck in a world that the women hold more power. Over the men and that it is acceptable for women to have paramours. In the real world, he was complaining about the women having paramours. He couldn’t stop venting how much he hated the different male leads. It isn’t introduced what Leon’s name was before the game but Leon Fou Bartfort has a nice ring to it. The character’s personality is also endearing as he tries to survive and wants to lead an easy life. I also enjoy Leon’s cynical personality, it gives him character.
I also need to check out the light novel for this anime. Sometimes I feel that the anime leaves out small details that can be significant. If you know any Otome Games please do recommend to me some to play! But I am definitely looking forward to the next episode.
